A Collection of Bands Thriving in an Apocalyptic Landscape
This is the story of Thomas Rex: a little known band from Tuscon, Arizona that came and went like so many other local bands in that time. Watch their humble beginnings going from playing in their living room, to playing small venues, and finally making it to the Congress Hotel, where so many of their own favorite bands have played. Is this the end of their story? Or is it merely the first chapter in a bigger story? I hope you enjoy these little videos and their misadventures for what they are.
Out of the 100's of recordings I have of Thomas Rex, these 4 tracks capture the true essence and madness of what this band was all about. These tracks are all improvised whilst waiting for the return of a beer run - all recorded very DIY in a sexy candle lit living room surrounded by dogs.
These are the unofficial Mixxx Tapez of the band formerly known as 'Heat Sick'. Unfortunately their guitarist was eaten by zombies and the remaining band had to go on the run and regroup; but these tracks really showcase the weirdness of what could've been a great band.
These are the Heat Sick "B-Sidez" - songs that were all improvised and never played again. These truly capture the essence and weirdness that was Heat Sick. I hope you can enjoy these for what they are
